Contributions of the lens Gradient Index and shape to the lens spherical aberration and astigmatism, published in Vision Research

An OCT-based study of lens geometry and gradient refractive index in porcine lenses in vivo reveals that the presence of GRIN shifts spherical aberration towards negative values in comparison with a homogeneous index, and decreases the amount of astigmatism.
