Full anterior segment biometry based on 3-D OCT and its application to cataract surgery, published in BOE

paper_2013

sOCT provided with quantification tools allowed full biometric characterization of the anterior segment of the eye pre- and post-operatively. Three-dimensional measurements of anterior chamber depth allow exact registration of pre- and post-operative measurements.

The system is also capable of measuring lens (cataract lens and implanted IOL) alignmnet, i.e. tilt and decentration, as validated in an artificial eye and demonstrated in a real eye before and after cataract surgery.
